Summer Caprese Salad

Hey there, Veggie Wagon family! We wanted to share with you one of our favorite summer recipes! Caprese salads are perfect for backyard barbecues, wine nights with friends, or even just a chill night in with the family!

You will need:

-1 ball of VW mozzarella
-1 yellow tomato
-1 Heirloom tomato
-A handful of freshly-cut basil
-VW balsamic vinegar and olive oil (flavor of choice– we recommend either classic or Basil olive oil and fig balsamic)
-VW garlic and sea salt grinder
-VW pepper grinder

Slice your tomatoes and mozzarella to the thickness of your liking. Arrange them in a pattern (mozzarella, yellow, heirloom, mozzarella, etc.) on a serving plate. Chiffon the basil and sprinkle overtop the cheese and tomatoes. Carefully (either using a pourer or by placing your thumb or index finger over the opening to the bottle to slow the pour) drizzle your olive oil and vinegar. Finally, season to taste with freshly ground sea salt, garlic, and pepper. Bon app├ętit!
